The Trail Folk Music Festival is a community-driven celebration held each August in Minto, New Brunswick. Founded by passionate music lovers and supporters of the Mountain Bike Minto trail system, the festival is rooted in the unique landscape of trails built on the community’s historic coal mine.
Inspired by Minto’s generationally rich musical heritage, the festival brings together tradition and new energy—blending the spirit of the past with the vibrancy and opportunity the trails have created and the local up-and-coming musicians. The result is a one-of-a-kind experience that celebrates both music and place.
The four-day festival features more than 20 acts, with all performances taking place at The Outpost, a venue located at the trailhead. This year, the program expands to include a New Artist Showcase and Music on the Trails—an immersive experience where musicians perform along a designated trail route, inviting attendees to discover music in a truly unforgettable setting.
